Welcoming the New Year with Peace & Mindfulness
As we stepped into the New Year, our students participated in a meaningful mindfulness activity centered on peace, intention, and calm beginnings.
The children created calming jars, carefully choosing elements that represented peace, balance, and hope. They also designed handmade cards and decorative tiles as part of our seasonal celebrations, reflecting on what peace means to them and how they can carry it into the year ahead.
This experience encouraged creativity, self-reflection, and emotional awareness, supporting students in mindfully welcoming the New Year with a sense of calm and positivity.
We are so proud of the thoughtfulness and care our students brought into their creations and look forward to continuing this mindfulness journey together.

December at The Mindful Elephant

This December, The Mindful Elephant celebrated the season with our monthly theme Winter Wonder & Kindness, helping children and families slow down, connect, and grow through mindfulness and creative expression.
Children participated in calming mindfulness and breathing exercises, explored hands-on creativity through pottery and weaving, and practiced essential social-emotional skills like collaboration, kindness, and self-compassion.
Our Parent & Child sessions created meaningful moments for families to connect through mindfulness, art, and shared experiences, supporting emotional well-being both in and beyond the classroom.

Supporting Family Wellness Nights with the Peel District School Board
