Testimonials

“As an educator, I am deeply grateful for Baljeet's unwavering dedication to teaching techniques focused on nurturing calmness and self-reflection in young children. Her steadfast commitment to imparting these vital skills has not only significantly impacted our children’s emotional well-being but has also equipped them with the resilience needed to navigate life's challenges. Witnessing the positive transformation in children under her guidance has been truly inspiring. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a caring and dedicated educator guiding my students' journey.”

“The Mindful Elephant team provided a session to my Sparks Girl Guide unit (ages 5-6) this year and the girls LOVED it!  The team was patient and friendly which made the girls feel comfortable, as well as very organized which greatly helped us Leaders.  The girls were able to make a calming bead charm to take home with them as well as learning how to use it to take mindful breathes to calm themselves when upset.  A few days later when I was frazzled at home, my own Spark daughter took out the calming charm and walked me through using it!  I definitely recommend the Mindful Elephant.”

“The Mindful Elephant is a valued community partner with our school. Baljeet uses effective and creative strategies to support the wellbeing of staff, students and their families. When engaging participants who come from diverse communities and lived experiences, she operates with a deep ethic of care and respect. The impact of her services is evidenced in students' application of strategies to manage their own wellness. Inviting the services of the Mindful Elephant is a prudent investment in your school, community or company that you will not regret!”

“I am deeply grateful for the learning and experiences I have had with The Mindful Elephant. Ms. Bains is incredibly knowledgeable and attuned to the art of Mindfulness and working with adults and children alike. Through her guided sessions, I have learned about focus and awareness of self, the power of breathing, and making connections to my body. As an educator, my students have benefited greatly from her guided sessions and the use of mindfulness tools such as breathing beads. Students have increased focus and have acquired self-regulation skills to support them through the learning day. As a mother, I use her calming jars and breathing beads with my children when they are overwhelmed or have big feelings. I now see them using these tools and breathing techniques they have learned with Ms. Bains on their own!”

“I like going to The Mindful Elephant because it’s a quiet place. I have learned to control my problems and emotions by breathing exercises. I also enjoy doing Art Reflections.”

  - Adam (Student, Grade 3)

"I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Bains, who is an exceptional educator! As a teacher myself, I have not only had the privilege of working alongside but also learning from Ms. Bains over the last few years, and it has been an absolute pleasure. Ms. Bains is an attentive, caring, and true professional who always puts the needs of her students first. Ms. Bains has a holistic approach to teaching and focuses on supporting the mental health and wellness of all her students every day. Ms. Bains also brings extensive years of experience leading mindfulness across schools to families, students and teachers. Her sessions have impacted both educators and students, and everyone who walks through her doors is left with the thought in their mind, "When do I get to come back again?". Ms. Bains' dedication to her students is truly inspiring. If you have the chance to learn from Ms. Bains, I highly recommend it! She is an exceptional leader who is committed to education and mindfulness, and anyone who has the opportunity to learn from her will leave with a transformative experience. Thank you, Ms. Bains, for your unwavering commitment to your students!"

“I love going to The Mindful Elephant. I've learned these cool breathing exercises there, and they really help me when I'm feeling frustrated. Now I know how to calm down whenever I need to.”

- Ava (Student, Grade 3)

“When I do mindfulness, I feel safe and calm. I learned these breathing exercises for when I feel sad. It helps me to feel better. I like going to The Mindful Elephant.”

- Brianna (Student, Grade 4)

“Baljeet takes you on a peaceful journey to serenity, with the use of a variety of our senses. She begins by inviting you to notice the feelings and sensations in your body that we ignore on a daily basis. You learn to release these tensions through deep breathing and visualization. Through the use of a plant, you begin to make connections to yourself growing strong, deeply rooted and bearing beautiful flowers. This was an amazing experience and a strong reminder to slow down, listen to our bodies and take care of ourselves, amidst our busy lives. Truly a life-changing and transformative session that you surely won't regret! Thank you so very much Baljeet!”

- Oliver Siu, OCT

“The Mindful Elephant is amazing. My child learned many mindfulness techniques she can use when needed. She took away her own tool kit that consisted of resources. She enjoys using these resources to manage her feelings and emotions.”
